Yorkshire clinic consultation

Happy Friday everyone

As I said I was going for a consultation yesterday evening, this is because my GP ( Who I saw 6 weeks ago) thought I had a slight prolapse. I had seen a different GP a couple of weeks before that and was presenting all the symptoms of yet another bladder infection and had been given a course of antibiotics, a sample was sent off to the lab. ( the results came back clear )

The consultant last night said even though there was evidence of what looked like a prolapse, his opinion based on the symptoms I am presenting is that my bladder isn't working properly. I am been referred to a specialist colleague of his for further tests, he said the tests are essential but not at all pleasant. He said they don't know what causes it but sometimes the bladder can over stretch and not go back to its normal size. He said the feeling I have that my bladder hasn't fully emptied will be right and so for want of a better word the urine that's left in my bladder after passing water is like a stagnant pool ( I know...ewww ) and this is what will be causing all the pain and bladder infections I've been having. I couldn't think to when it may have happened, but he agreed to could be the end of the infections and pelvic/lower back pains I've been suffering from since last November.

After having these tests done, I will go back to see the consultant from which treatments will be decided obviously based on the results. At last an answer may be around the corner :) It has been a hard 15 months, what with all the pain and infections and the thought that it might be over soon is totally overwhelming. I love the thought of having a pain free day...wow will be great.

Until next time, have a great day everyone!

Tracy
